Digital Legal Sustainability Benchmark for the Maritime Industry

In 2018, the global shipping industry was responsible for 2.9% of global greenhouse gas emissions, which is a significant amount and clearly needs to be cut to create a future for the maritime industry. This number explains the urgent need in regulation of the maritime industry, where the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and EU are already working on and implementing several regulations to reduce the impact on the environment and people.

The benchmark, developed by students Computational Social Science focuses on these regulations in such a way that it aims to make complying with these legislations easier.
