The Essence of CSSci: Data Science for Public Good

The Bachelor in Computational Social Science (CSSci) at the University of Amsterdam represents a groundbreaking approach to higher education, where traditional academic learning meets real-world problem-solving. Our programme combines social science theories, empirical research methodologies, and advanced computational techniques to create an environment where students develop practical solutions to society's pressing challenges. We embrace wicked problems and educate changemakers.

Through our challenge-based learning model, students work directly with industry and academic partners across four distinct projects throughout their three-year journey. This innovative approach not only enriches student learning but also provides partners with fresh perspectives and data-driven solutions to complex problems.
