The Climate Narrative Review: Decoding Environmental News: An NLP Pipeline for Climate Media Analysis
In collaboration with QuotaClimat, this project built an NLP-based pipeline that extracts structured insights from environmental news reports, surfacing the frames used to cover climate issues and exposing gaps between actual environmental impact and media attention. The tool gives NGOs a sharper, data-driven basis for media monitoring and advocacy.
The Climate Media Barometer: Tracking Climate Misinformation in Flemish Media
With no regulatory framework around climate misinformation in Flanders, this project partnered with QuotaClimat to build a dashboard that tracks how climate change is framed across Flemish media. The analysis reveals a clear divide: commercial channels lean toward economic framing, while public broadcasters offer more balanced coverage. These findings are made actionable through a reusable framing classifier and an ongoing media monitoring tool.
